My daughter is a highly sensitive child, and I say that with so much love and respect.
She is the most caring, selfless, empathetic individual. And with this superpower, my little Princess and the Pea can experience her feelings bigger and more intensely than others, pick up on every little gesture or comment, and process the big picture amongst every fine detail.
Safe to say, it's a lot. And I know all of this because I am the same way.
When I was younger, I felt things so deeply, and I never understood why no one else would pick up on things the way I did. It also led to a decline in my mental health (but that's another story for another time).
I wanted to give my daughter, and so many other children, a place to express themselves, reflect on their emotions, and see how amazing they are. And so our kid's daily journals were created.
Now, my daughter uses hers almost daily, and I can see her confidence blooming. She uses her meditation techniques, repeats affirmations to herself throughout the day, and talks to me about different events, both happy and sad. She's truly amazing, and she only continues to grow and learn everyday.
